February 01, 2014: Sunday                 Los Angeles/London

Let the adventure begin when you board your overnight Virgin Atlantic Airways flight to London Heathrow with meals and a movie on board.

February 02: Monday                           London/Nairobi

Arrive at London Heathrow at Terminal 3 this afternoon and later connect with your flight to Nairobi, the safari capital of the world.

February 03: Tuesday                           Nairobi /Arusha

Arrive in Nairobi and connect with your flight to Kilimanjaro Airport in Tanzania. On arrival you will be met by our representative who will transfer you to your hotel in Arusha. Rest of the day is at your leisure to enjoy the surroundings. (LD)  Mountain Village Serena Lodge


04/05/06/07: Wed/Thur/Fri/Sat             Serengeti Plains

Today’s journey passes through the scenic areas of the southeastern Serengeti plains.  This time of the year is the birthing season when many babies are born. Four days are earmarked to witness nature’s greatest spectacle, the migration of over a million wildebeest, zebra and gazelle and all of the predators.  Daily morning and late afternoon game drives are planned for many outstanding photographic opportunities.  Your accommodation is at the luxury tented camp strategically located in the area which is alive with the migration. February 08/09: Sun/Mon                      Ngorongoro Crater  Depart to Ngorongoro

Conservation area; host to the ‘birthplace of man’.  It is also home to the unique intact caldera, the Ngorongoro Crater. The crater is home to abundant game, including the “big five” – elephant, rhino, lion, leopard and buffalo.  Enjoy lunch as you descend to the crater floor.  Next morning, another game drive in the crater. Later in the afternoon, we may visit a nearby Masai village. (BLD) Ngorongoro Serena Lodge

February 10/11: Tue/Wed            Amboseli National Park

Early morning drive to Arusha for lunch and proceed to the border town of Namanga into Kenya where you will change vehicles and drivers and continue to Amboseli National Park, nestled at the foothills of Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest mountain in Africa. Amboseli National Park is the location where you can photograph elephants and other wildlife with Mt. Kilimanjaro as a backdrop. The following day we will have an early morning and afternoon game drives.                (BLD) Ol Tukai Lodge

February 12: Thursday                        Nairobi 

Morning game drive followed by breakfast at the lodge.  Later this afternoon continue to Nairobi for an overnight. (BLD) Ole Sereni Hotel

February 13: Friday                             Masai Mara

After breakfast, we will proceed to the Daphne Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage where you will be able to pet young rescued elephants. We will continue to the Giraffe Center where you have an opportunity to pet and feed the Rothschild giraffes. This afternoon we will board our plane for a short flight to the Kenya’s most famous National park, the Masai Mara. We are going to the Mara to photograph the big cats, lions, leopards and cheetahs along with many other animals that live in the Mara all year round. Afternoon game drive enroute to our camp. February 14/15/16: Sat/Sun/Mon            Masai Mara

Three full days are spent in the central section of the Mara Plains with morning and after game drives with more photographic opportunities to capture the scenic beauty of the Mara Plains and the wildlife that roam the open grasslands.  (BLD) Mara Bush Camp

February 17: Tuesday                       Nairobi/London

Morning game drive is followed by a freshly cooked breakfast in the wilderness of the Mara plains. From here, transfer to the airstrip for your flight to Nairobi where a room is reserved until 6:00 pm to relax, repack or do some last minute shopping. Later this evening you will be transfer back to the airport to connect Kenya Airways flight to London. (BLD) Dayroom at Ole Sereni Hotel

February 18: Wednesday                       London/Los Angeles

Arrive at London Heathrow Airport Terminal 4 and transfer by shuttle to Terminal 3 airline transfer desk to obtain your boarding passes for Virgin Atlantic Airways flight to Los Angeles. Arrive home later today to share fond memories of your safari adventure to East Africa.
