July 16: Thursday                                            Depart from home

Let the adventure begin when you board your overnight Virgin Atlantic Airways flight to London with meals and a movie on board.

July 17: Friday                                                 London 

Arrive at London Heathrow this afternoon where you will connect with your Virgin Atlantic flight to Nairobi, the safari capital of the world.

July 18: Saturday                                               Arusha

Welcome to Africa!  Arrive in Nairobi this morning and proceed to transfer desk for Precision Air flight to Kilimanjaro Airport in Tanzania. On arrival, you will be met by our representative who will transfer you to your hotel in Arusha for lunch and dinner. (LDB) Mt. Village Serena Lodge

July 19/20: Sunday/Monday                               Tarangire National Park

Early departure to Tarangire National Park, named after the river that flows through the length of the park and provides a constant water source for the thousands of animals making their home here.  A late afternoon game drive will bring you close to a large variety of wildlife.  Two more game drives are planned for the next day. (BLD) Tarangire Safari Lodge

July 21/22: Tuesday/Wednesday                               Ngorongoro Crater 

After an early breakfast we will depart for Ngorongoro Conservation area; host to the ‘birthplace of man’. It is also home to the unique intact caldera, the Ngorongoro Crater. The crater is home to abundant game, including the “big five” – elephant, rhino, lion, leopard and buffalo. This afternoon depart on a half day tour of the crater.  Next day, proceed on an early morning tour of the crater. Later this afternoon, enjoy photographing the wilderness landscape in the surrounding area.  (BLD) Ngorongoro Serena Lodge

July 23/24: Thursday/Friday                                  Serengeti Plains 

Continue your journey to the heart of the world’s best-known park, the Serengeti. The park is named after the Masai word, ‘Siringet’ for endless plains of short and long grass. The Serengeti is well known for its large prides of lions, cheetah, leopard, elephants and it’s tremendous variety and numbers of plains animals. Arrive in time for lunch and a late afternoon game drive. Next day continue to explore the Serengeti Plains with a morning and afternoon game drive in the park. (BLD) Serengeti Serena Lodge

July 25/26: Saturday/Sunday                            Amboseli National Park                          

Early morning fly to Arusha for lunch and proceed to the border town of Namanga into Kenya where you will change vehicles and drivers and continue to Amboseli National Park, nestled at the foothills of Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest mountain in Africa. Amboseli National Park is the location where you can photograph elephants and other wildlife with Mt. Kilimanjaro as a backdrop. The following day we will have an early morning and afternoon game drives. (BLD) Ol Tukai Lodge

July 27: Monday                                                   Nairobi 

Morning game drive followed by breakfast at the lodge.  Later continue to Nairobi for an overnight. (BLD) Ole Sereni Hotel

July 28: Tuesday                                                      Masai Mara National Park

After breakfast, we will proceed to the Daphne Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage where you will be able to pet young rescued elephants. We will continue to the Giraffe Center where you have an opportunity to pet and feed the Rothschild giraffes. This afternoon we will board our plane for a short flight to the Kenya’s most famous National park, the Masai Mara. We are going to the Mara to photograph the big cats, lions, leopards and cheetahs along with many other animals that live in the Mara all year round. Afternoon game drive enroute to our camp. July 29/30/31: Wed/Thu/Fri                                      Masai Mara National Park

Three full days to enjoy and photograph the beautiful wildlife and wilderness of the Mara with early morning and afternoon game drives. The Mara is home to the annual migration where millions of wildebeest, zebra and gazelle trek from the Serengeti plains into the Mara.  At this time of year the plains are normally loaded with wildlife as the great migration swarms into the Mara on its annual migratory cycle.  Morning and afternoon game drives are planned to explore and photograph the abundant wildlife. August 01: Saturday                                     Nairobi/London

Morning game drive followed by breakfast. Later transfer to the airstrip for your flight to Nairobi where our representative will meet you and transfer you to the hotel. Afternoon time to relax or do some last minute shopping.  Dinner and later transfer to the airport for flight to London.  (BLD) Ole Sereni Hotel

August 02: Sunday                                      London/Los Angeles

This morning connect with your Virgin Atlantic flight home to share pleasant memories of your trip to Tanzania and Kenya with family and friends.
