August 26: Monday                                       Los Angeles

Let the adventure begin when you board flight to Kilimanjaro, Tanzania.

August 27: Tuesday                                       Arusha

Jambo! Welcome to Tanzania. Arrive Kilimanjaro where our representative will meet you and transfer you to your hotel in Arusha for the overnight.(D) Tulip Hotel

August 28/29: Wed/Thu                              Ngorongoro Crater 

Safari briefing at breakfast prepares you for an exciting adventure. Depart to Ngorongoro Conservation area; host to the ‘birthplace of man’.  It is also home to the unique intact caldera, the Ngorongoro Crater. The crater is home to abundant game, including the “big five” – elephant, rhino, lion, leopard and buffalo.  Enjoy lunch as you descend to the crater floor.  Next day, a full day game drive in the crater is planned with lunch in the bush. August 30/31: Fri/Sat                                  Tarangire National Park
This morning drive to Tarangire National Park, named after the river that flows through the length of the park and provides a constant water source for the thousands of animals making their home here. Lunch is at the lodge and a late afternoon game drive will bring you close to a large variety   of wildlife. Two more game drives are planned for the next day. (BLD) Tarangire Safari Lodge

September 01: Sunday                                    Nairobi                                                                    Morning game drive followed by breakfast. Lunch at the lodge and continue to Kilimanjaro airport for your flight to Nairobi.   Arrive Nairobi’s Jomo Kenyatta Airport and transfer to your hotel for an overnight. (BLD) Ole Sereni Hotel

September 02: Monday                                 Samburu Game Reserve

This morning the adventure continues with a short flight to Samburu Game Reserve. Located about 250 miles north of Nairobi, the entire Samburu region is a place of breathtaking and magical beauty. The Ewaso Nyiro river that flows through the park supports a diversity of wildlife. A place where the vision of a deep red sunset silhouetting the doum palms along the river as a leopard emerges to hunt brings the perfect end to a day on safari. The river is permanent and supports a wide variety of game including elephant, buffalo, cheetah, lion, as well as game rarely seen elsewhere such as the Grevy’s Zebra, Reticulated giraffe, Somali ostrich and the long-necked Gerenuk. Arrive in time for lunch followed by an afternoon game drive. (BLD) Samburu Elephant Bedroom Camp

September 03/04: Tue/Wed                     Samburu Game Reserve

For next 2 days, explore the beauty and ruggedness of this game park with morning and afternoon game drives. (BLD) Samburu Elephant Bedroom Camp

September 05: Thursday                                Nairobi

Morning game drive followed by breakfast. Return back to Nairobi with a stop at the Equator sign for memorable photograph. You will arrive in Nairobi late afternoon and overnight. (BLD) Ole Sereni Hotel

After breakfast, we will continue to the Giraffe Center where you have an opportunity to pet and feed the Rothschild giraffes. We will proceed to the Daphne Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage where you will be able to pet young rescued elephants. This afternoon we will board our plane for a short flight to the Kenya’s most famous National park, the Masai Mara. We are going to the Mara to photograph the big cats, lions, leopards and cheetahs along with many other animals that live in the Mara all year round. Afternoon game drive enroute to our camp. Sept 07/08/09: Sat/Sun/Mon                     Masai Mara National Park 

Three full days to enjoy the beauty and wilderness of the Mara with an early morning and afternoon game drives. The Mara is home to the annual migration where millions of wildebeest, zebra and gazelle trek from the Serengeti plains into the Mara.  At this time of year the plains are normally loaded with wildlife as the great migration swarms into the Mara on its annual migratory cycle.  Morning and afternoon game drives are planned to explore and photograph the abundant wildlife.  September 10: Tuesday                            Nairobi/Depart

Morning game drive followed by breakfast. Later transfer to the airstrip for the flight to Nairobi where our representative will meet you and transfer us to the hotel. Afternoon time to relax or do some last minute shopping.  Dinner and later transfer to the airport our flight home. (BLD) Dayroom – Ole Sereni Hotel

September 11: Wednesday                      Los Angeles                                                                         Arrive home to share pleasant memories of your trip to Tanzania and Kenya with family and friends.
