Daily Itinerary
February 11: Saturday – Arusha, Tanzania
Jambo! Welcome to Tanzania. Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport where our representative will meet you and transfer you to your hotel for the overnight. (D) Arusha Serena Lodge
February 12: Sunday – Ngorongoro Conservation Area
Today we fly from Arusha into scenic areas of the southeastern Serengeti plains. This time of the year is the birthing season when thousands of babies are born. Three full days are earmarked to witness nature’s greatest spectacle, the migration of over a million wildebeest, zebra and gazelle and all of the predators. Your accommodation for four nights is at the luxury tented camp strategically located in the area which is alive with the migration. (BLD) Lake Masek Luxury Tented Camp
February 13/14/15: Mon, Tues, Wed – Ngorongoro Conservation Area
Daily morning and late afternoon game drives are planned for many outstanding photographic opportunities. We may stay out with the wildlife longer for great wildlife sightings. (BLD) Lake Masek Luxury Tented Camp
February 16/17: Thu, Fri – Ngorongoro Crater
Depart to Ngorongoro Conservation area; host to the ‘birthplace of man’. It is also home to the unique intact caldera, the Ngorongoro Crater. The crater is home to abundant game, including the “big five” – elephant, rhino, lion, leopard and buffalo. Enjoy lunch as you descend to the crater floor. February 18: Sat – Nairobi
Depart Ngorongoro and drive to Kilimanjaro International Airport and board our flight to Nairobi, NBO. Four Points by Sheraton Nairobi Airport. (BLD)
February 19: Sun – Masai Mara
After breakfast, we will continue to the Giraffe Center where you have an opportunity to pet and feed the Rothschild giraffes. We will proceed to the Daphne Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage where you will be able to pet young, rescued elephants. This afternoon we will board our plane for a short flight to the Kenya’s most famous National Reserve, the Masai Mara. We are going to the Mara to photograph the big cats, lions, leopards and cheetahs along with many other animals that live in the Mara all year round. Afternoon game drive enroute to our camp. February 20/21/22: Mon, Tue, Wed – Masai Mara
Three full days are spent in the central section of the Mara Plains with morning and after game drives. Photographic opportunities to capture the scenic beauty of the Mara Plains and the wildlife that roam the open grasslands seem to be in every direction that we point our cameras! (BLD) Mara Bush Camp
February 23: Wed – Nairobi/Depart
Morning game drive is followed by breakfast at the camp. From here, transfer to the airstrip for your flight to Nairobi where a room is reserved until 6:00 pm to relax, repack or do some last-minute shopping. Later this evening you will be transferred back to the airport to connect with your flight home. (BLD) Four Points by Sheraton Nairobi Airport.
