August 17: Saturday- Samburu Game Reserve
Our safari adventure begins as we drive from Nairobi to Samburu Game Reserve. We will travel through beautiful, scenic country side, making a stop at the Equator. As we continue on, hopefully Mt. Kenya will be clear, and we will get some beautiful views of the spectacular mountain. Roughly 250 miles north of Nairobi, the Samburu region is a place of breathtaking and magical beauty. The Ewaso Nyiro River flows through the park supporting a wide variety of wildlife, including elephant, buffalo, cheetah and lion, as well as animals rarely seen elsewhere like the Gerenuk, Grevy’s Zebra, Oryx and Reticulated giraffe. Lunch en route-arriving in time for an afternoon game drive. A place where the vision of a deep red sunset silhouetting the doum palms along the river as a leopard emerges to hunt brings the perfect end to a fabulous day on safari. . (BLD) Saroi Larsens Camp
August 18/19/20: Sun/Mon/Tues – Samburu
For next 3 days, explore the beauty and ruggedness of this game park with morning and afternoon game drives. (BLD) Saroi Larsens Camp

Samburu National Reserve is home to a range of fantastic wildlife, including the reticulated giraffe, the rare Grevy’s zebra, the Gerenuk antelope, Somali ostriches, elephants, cheetahs, leopards, Lions, oryx, impala, dik dik, waterbuck,
and an extraordinary variety of birds. The camp’s location offers a unique opportunity to observe these animals in their natural habitat, often from the comfort of your tent or while dining along the river’s edge.
August 21: Wednesday – Nairobi
Early morning game drive followed by breakfast. Transfer to the airstrip for the flight to Nairobi. Arrive at Nairobi’s Wilson airport, where we will be met and transferred to the hotel for lunch, dinner and overnight. (BLD) Four Points by Sheraton
August 22: Thursday – Masai Mara National Reserve
After breakfast, we will continue to the Giraffe Center where you have an opportunity to pet and feed beautiful but endangered Rothschild giraffes. After lunch at the Carnivore Restaurant, we will board the plane for a short flight to the Kenya’s most famous National reserve, the Masai Mara. This is the best time of year for the well-known Great Migration river crossings. We are traveling to the Mara to photograph the big cats, lions, leopards and cheetahs along with many other animals that live in the Mara all year round. Afternoon game drive en route to our luxury tented camp. (BLD) Saroi Mara Bush Camp.
August 23 – 27: Masai Mara National Reserve
Six full days to enjoy the beauty and wilderness of the Mara with early morning and afternoon game drives. The Mara is home to the annual migration where millions of wildebeest, zebra and gazelle trek from the Serengeti plains into the Mara. At this time of year, the plains are normally loaded with wildlife as the great migration swarms across the Mara on its annual migratory cycle. Morning and afternoon game drives are planned to explore and photograph the abundant wildlife. Another great photography opportunity is an optional visit to a local Maasai village. (BLD) Saroi Mara Bush Camp
