June 12 – June 25 , 2026 – 15 Day Guided Tanzania & Kenya Migration Photo Safari

The safari showcases the best of Tanzania’s national parks, offering opportunities to witness the annual wildebeest migration as it moves north towards the Masai Mara Plains in Kenya. You’ll spend three days in the Serengeti, following the vast herds of wildebeest, gazelle, zebras, buffalo, lion, cheetah, and giraffe. The journey also includes a visit to Tarangire National Park for game drives along the Tarangire River, and the breathtaking Ngorongoro Crater, home to abundant wildlife. The Tanzania portion of the safari concludes at Lake Manyara before continuing into Kenya and the famous Masai Mara National Park.

Born and raised in Kenya’s Rift Valley, I developed a passion for wildlife and conservation from an early young age. My involvement with the Wildlife Clubs of Kenya, as well as my training in Tourism and Research, combined with internships at Photographic Tour Leader Nairobi National Park and Mara Bush Camp, I have honed my guiding skills and deepened my knowledge of Kenya’s rich biodiversity. Since joining Sunworld Safaris in 2010, I have guided numerous photo safaris with Paul Renner, along with other groups, families, and guests from the United States and many other countries.

For thousands of years, the vast grasslands of East Africa have played host to one of the greatest wildlife spectacles on Earth – the Great Migration. Each year, from May to October, thousands of wildebeest, gazelle, and zebra embark on an epic trek from the Serengeti Plains in Tanzania to the lush pastures of Kenya’s Masai Mara Game Reserve. The largest concentration gathers on the Masai Mara plains between July and October, after beginning their journey from the southeastern Serengeti in March and arriving in the Mara by mid-July. By October, the herds begin their return voyage back to the Serengeti. This truly once-in-a-lifetime experience awaits in a truly unique and awe-inspiring setting.

June 13 – Tarangire National Park

Your safari begins as you meet your tour director for a welcome briefing and an overview of the adventure ahead. Drive across rolling hills to Tarangire, arriving in time for a short morning game drive before lunch. Relax and later head out for an evening game drive in this park, famous for its large elephant herds.

June 14 – Tarangire National Park

A full day exploring Tarangire. Capture sweeping views dotted with baobab and acacia trees, while spotting elephants, lions, and more. Local insights and photography tips bring the park’s beauty to life.

June 15 – Ngorongoro Conservation Area

Early morning departure to Ngorongoro, known as the “birthplace of man.” Visit a Maasai village before settling into the Ngorongoro Serena Lodge (BLD).

June 16 – Ngorongoro Crater

Descend 2,000 feet into the crater for a full day of game viewing with picnic lunch. Spot the Big Five, black rhino, jackals, and Cape zebra. Dinner and overnight at Ngorongoro Serena Lodge (BLD).

June 17 – Serengeti National Park

Travel onward to the legendary Serengeti. After lunch at your lodge, enjoy your first game drive in the park. Overnight at Kubu Kubu Tented Camp (BLD).

June 18–19 – Serengeti National Park

Two full days of adventure! Morning and afternoon game drives in the endless plains of Serengeti, home to lions, cheetahs, wild dogs, and vast herds of wildebeest. Overnight at Kubu Kubu Tented Camp (BLD).

June 20 – Fly to Nairobi

Depart by air from Serengeti via Arusha to Nairobi. Dinner and overnight at Sheraton Four Points (BLD).

June 21 – Nairobi National Park

A unique experience—wildlife right on the city’s doorstep! Explore Nairobi National Park, home to rhinos, lions, giraffes, and more. Overnight at Sheraton Four Points (BLD).

June 22 – 23 – 24 – Masai Mara Game Reserve

Fly to the iconic Masai Mara for a 3-night stay. Enjoy daily game drives across sweeping savannahs in search of the “Big Five” and, seasonally, the wildebeest migration. Overnight at Mara Bush Camp (BLD).
