January 31: Sunday                                    Los Angeles

Let the adventure begin when you board your flight to Kilimanjaro, Tanzania.

February 01: Monday                                 Enroute to Tanzania

February 02:Tuesday                                 Arusha 

Jambo! Welcome to Tanzania. Arrive Kilimanjaro where our representative will meet you and transfer you to your hotel in Arusha for the overnight. (LD) Lake Duluti Serena Lodge

February 03-06: Wed-Sat                          Serengeti Plains

Today’s journey passes through the scenic areas of the southeastern Serengeti plains.  This time of the year is the birthing season when many babies are born.  Four days are earmarked to witness nature’s greatest spectacle, the migration of over a million wildebeest, zebra and gazelle and all of the predators.  Daily morning and late afternoon game drives are planned for many outstanding photographic opportunities.  Your accommodation is at the luxury tented camp strategically located in the area which is alive with the migration. February 07/08:Sun/Mon                           Ngorongoro Crater 

Depart to Ngorongoro Conservation area; host to the ‘birthplace of man’.  It is also home to the unique intact caldera, the Ngorongoro Crater. The crater is home to abundant game, including the “big five” – elephant, rhino, lion, leopard and buffalo.  Enjoy lunch as you descend to the crater floor.  Next day, a full day game drive in the crater is planned with lunch in the bush.  (BLD) Ngorongoro Serena Lodge

February 09/10:Tue/Wed                           Amboseli National Park

Early morning drive to Arusha for lunch and proceed to the border town of Namanga where we enter Kenya. We meet our new drivers and change vehicles then continue our journey to Amboseli National Park. The park is nestled in the foothills of Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest mountain in Africa. Amboseli National Park is the location where you can photograph elephants and other wildlife with Mt. Kilimanjaro as a spectacular backdrop. The following day we will have an early morning and afternoon game drives. (BLD) Ol Tukai Lodge

 

Cheetah Family Time-

February 11: Thursday                               Nairobi 

Morning game drive followed by breakfast at the lodge.  Later this afternoon continue to Nairobi for an overnight. (BLD) Ole Sereni Hotel

February 12: Friday                                    Masai Mara

After breakfast, we will continue to the Giraffe Center where you have an opportunity to pet and feed the Rothschild giraffes. We will proceed to the Daphne Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage where you will be able to pet young rescued elephants. This afternoon we will board our plane for a short flight to the Kenya’s most famous National park, the Masai Mara. We are going to the Mara to photograph the big cats, lions, leopards and cheetahs along with many other animals that live in the Mara all year round. Afternoon game drive enroute to our camp. February 13/14/15: Sat/Sun/Mon             Masai Mara

Three full days are spent in the central section of the Mara Plains with morning and afternoon game drives with unlimited photographic opportunities to capture the scenic beauty of the Mara Plains and the wildlife that roam these open grasslands. (BLD) Mara Bush Camp

February 16: Tuesday                                Nairobi/Depart

Our final morning game drive is followed by a freshly cooked breakfast in the wilderness of the Mara plains. From here, we transfer to the airstrip for our flight to Nairobi where a room is reserved until 6:00 pm to relax, repack or do some last minute shopping. Later this evening you will be transferred to the airport to connect with your flight home. (BLD) Dayroom at Ole Sereni Hotel

February 17: Wednesday                          Arrive home
