February 01: Thursday                               Los Angeles

Let the adventure begin when you board flight to Kilimanjaro, Tanzania.

February 02: Friday                                    Enroute to Tanzania

Jambo! Welcome to Tanzania. Arrive Kilimanjaro where our representative will meet you and transfer you to your hotel in Arusha for the overnight.(D)                                Tulip Hotel

February 04 -07: Sun -Wed
                         Serengeti Plains

Today’s journey passes through the scenic areas of the southeastern Serengeti plains.  This time of the year is the birthing season when many babies are born.  Three days are earmarked to witness nature’s greatest spectacle, the migration of over a million wildebeest, zebra and gazelle and all of the predators.  Daily morning and late afternoon game drives are planned for many outstanding photographic opportunities.  Your accommodation is at the luxury tented camp strategically located in the area which is alive with the migration. Elephant and Baby-February 08/09: Thu/Fri                             Ngorongoro Crater 

Depart to Ngorongoro Conservation area; host to the ‘birthplace of man’.  It is also home to the unique intact caldera, the Ngorongoro Crater. The crater is home to abundant game, including the “big five” – elephant, rhino, lion, leopard and buffalo.  Enjoy lunch as you descend to the crater floor.  Next day, a full day game drive in the crater is planned with lunch in the bush. February 10: Saturday                               Nairobi 

Breakfast at the lodge and continue to Kilimanjaro airport for your flight to Nairobi.  Continue to Kilimanjaro airport for your flight to Nairobi. Arrive Nairobi’s Jomo Kenyatta Airport and transfer to your hotel for an overnight. (BLD) Ole Sereni Hotel

February 11: Sunday                                   Masai Mara

After breakfast, we will continue to the Giraffe Center where you have an opportunity to pet and feed the Rothschild giraffes. We will proceed to the Daphne Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage where you will be able to pet young rescued elephants. This afternoon we will board our plane for a short flight to the Kenya’s most famous National park, the Masai Mara. We are going to the Mara to photograph the big cats, lions, leopards and cheetahs along with many other animals that live in the Mara all year round. Afternoon game drive enroute to our camp. Three full days are spent in the central section of the Mara Plains with morning and after game drives with more photographic opportunities to capture the scenic beauty of the Mara Plains and the wildlife that roam the open grasslands.  (BLD) Mara Bush Camp

February 15: Thursday                               Nairobi/Depart

Morning game drive is followed by a freshly cooked breakfast. From here, transfer to the airstrip for your flight to Nairobi where a room is reserved until 6:00 pm to relax, repack or do some last minute shopping. Later this evening you will be transfer back to the airport to connect your flight home. (BLD) Dayroom at Ole Sereni Hotel

February 16: Friday                                               Arrive home

Arrive home today to share fond memories of your safari adventure to East Africa.
